UES New Purcara Sweatshirt - Olive

Hand-picked Desi cotton and organic Ugandan cotton make up the outer yarn at a 7:3 ratio. At No. 16 weight the surface reads wool-like, dry, dense and textured in a way most cotton knitwear doesn't achieve. The reverse is brown Zimbabwean cotton, softer against the skin. Natural variation, nep and slight irregularity throughout the fabric are part of the character and become more apparent as the garment breaks in.

Knitted on vintage circular looms in Wakayama. Tubular body, flat seam assembly, V-insert collar, ribbing at cuffs and hem.

Olive sits in quiet workwear territory. Muted, earthy, closer to military fatigue palettes than anything fashion-led. Works well alongside raw denim, canvas trousers or worn outerwear. The silhouette is relaxed with dropped shoulders and room through the body, proportioned to layer under a denim jacket or chore coat without bulk.
