Godspeed MIL-H4 Watch Cap - White

The watch cap has its roots in naval clothing where close fitting wool caps were worn by sailors standing watch on exposed decks. The simple shape served a practical purpose, providing warmth against cold winds and sea spray without the bulk or brim of a conventional hat.

Godspeed's MIL-H4 Watch Cap follows this military pattern using 100% merino wool. Naturally soft and insulating, merino provides the warmth expected from a traditional wool watch cap with a more comfortable feel against the skin.

Like many pieces that began as military equipment, the watch cap eventually found a life beyond its original purpose. Surplus examples became common within workwear and everyday clothing with the uncomplicated shape remaining largely unchanged.
