Use a tape measure and measure your chest on the round the fullest part of your chest, which is usually right under your armpits, also measure your shoulders from tip to tip.

Once you have these measurements, compare them to the size chart on the t-shirt you're looking at. Keep in mind that the fit of t-shirts can vary depending on the brand and style, so your size may differ between each t-shirt.

Cotton t-shirts are best washed in cold water on a gentle cycle, turned inside out to protect the fabric's surface and any prints from cracking. Use a mild detergent and avoid bleach or fabric softeners — both break down cotton fibres over time and dull the fabric's hand feel.

Skip the tumble dryer wherever possible. Heat causes cotton to shrink and weakens the fibres, particularly with loopwheeled and heavier knits where the looser construction shows wear faster. Hang dry in shade or lay flat to keep the original shape and length.
