Wearmasters Lot.878 Flap Pocket Rayon Shirt S/S - Black

The short-sleeve cousin of the Lot.877. Same fabric, same flap pockets, same box-cut silhouette — just resized for warmer weather. The open collar and slightly louche shape come from a postwar lineage of rayon casual shirts, the kind worn by mid-century crooners and bowling-league regulars before the polo tee took over.

The custom heavyweight rayon oxford is the part to pay attention to. Wearmasters had it woven specifically for these shirts — filament and spun yarns blended to mimic the slight sheen and fluid drape of vintage rayon, but with enough body that it doesn't go limp on hot days. Black gives it a sharper, evening-leaning read. Made in Japan.

Worn untucked with wide trousers or shorts in summer, or tucked into a high-waisted pant with loafers when the occasion is slightly less casual.
