Inspired by the rugged denim of the 1940s and ’50s, the 521SW is a classic, roomy straight leg jean from Pherrow’s - crafted under their heritage-focused STORMY BLUE label.

Made in Japan from 100% cotton selvedge denim, this model has undergone a Starch Wash (SW) to remove stiffness while preserving a vintage hand feel. The fit is generous through the seat and thigh with a straight leg from knee to hem, true to mid-century workwear silhouettes.

Details include a button fly with custom copper hardware, a cowhide leather patch, and woven STORMY BLUE tags at the inner waistband. A hidden selvedge coin pocket, canvas pocket bags, and a copper SB button on the back pocket round out the construction.

The 521SW is one of our favourite new arrivals for 2025. There’s something timeless about the fit - roomy up top, straight through the leg, with just the right rise - that makes them feel like they could’ve come from any decade in the last hundred years and still look right at home. It’s the kind of jean that works whether you’re going full vintage, clean and contemporary, or anything in between.

For those familiar with our popular TCB 50's jeans, the 521SW run similar in size but offer a slightly higher rise and a touch more room in the thigh and leg, making them a great option for anyone chasing a more relaxed silhouette without going full wide-leg.

With a 36-inch inseam, they’re a solid option for taller guys who’ve had a hard time finding Japanese denim with the length to match.
