Rayon oxford is a fabric that rewards weight. The lightweight versions go limp and lose their shape within a few wears. Wearmasters had this one custom-woven, blending filament and spun yarns into a heavier cloth that holds its drape without going stiff. It has the slight sheen of vintage rayon and softens gradually with wash.
Cut in a semi-loose box shape with an open collar and flap chest pockets, finished with 4.8mm double-needle chain stitching and shell buttons throughout. The Natural colourway sits closer to off-white than ivory, which keeps it from feeling washed out and works well against darker trousers and denim. Made in Japan.
Worn untucked in summer with the Lot.720 Heritage Trousers or the Lot.925 shorts. Tucks cleanly into a higher-waisted pant when the occasion calls for it.
