Faulty Items
If you believe you’ve received a faulty item, please contact us before returning it. If an item is confirmed as faulty after inspection, we will offer either: A replacement of the same item (subject to availability), or A full refund, including original and return shipping costs.

The brand works with domestic Japanese cotton mills and uses traditional looming equipment where possible. Each piece is designed to be used and improved with wear.

The brand works closely with domestic Japanese mills and uses traditional production methods where possible, including vintage loopwheel knitting machines in Wakayama and power-loom weaving for cap fabrics. Everything is made in Japan.
UES use a Japanese numeric sizing system running 1 through 5, which corresponds roughly to S through XXL. The fit on most pieces runs close to the body, and UES generally recommend sizing up if you're between sizes. Garments like the New Purcara Sweatshirt are knitted on circular machines and can shrink slightly after the first wash. We provide full flat measurements on each product page, and you can contact us directly if you need sizing advice before ordering.
Most UES pieces are 100% cotton and can be machine washed in cold water on a gentle cycle. Turn garments inside out before washing and hang dry away from direct sunlight. For loopwheel knitwear, avoid the tumble dryer entirely as heat will cause shrinkage and weaken the knit structure over time. The Denim Scarf will transfer indigo to light-coloured fabrics until it has been washed several times, so launder it separately for the first few washes. Care labels are included on all garments.
