Loose Selvedge Denim - 14oz
Japan Blue's Loose Selvedge Denim leans generous through the cut it's named for, so it's worth dropping one size below what you'd normally take if you want the fit to sit the way it's meant to. The 14oz cloth has some structure to it at first and softens with wear, so expect a slightly stiff break in period. Sizes run in even numbers only, so if you fall between two sizes, go with the larger one. As always, measure a pair you already wear well and compare it against the numbers below.

How we measure
Every figure is taken with the jeans laid flat and smoothed out, read in centimetres.
- Waist
- Measured across the waistband from edge to edge at the top of the jeans. We then double that number.
- Thigh
- From just below the crotch seam. Measure directly across the thigh from edge to edge of the fabric.
- Hem
- Measured across the hem at the base of the leg.
- Rise
- Measured from the crotch seam to the top of the waistband.
- Inseam
- Measured from the crotch seam to the bottom of the hem following the seam along the inside of the leg.
