The Lot.872 takes its outsole from a 1930s deck shoe, cut in a wave pattern originally developed to grip wet ship boards. Wearmasters has kept the proportions honest: a low slip-on profile, vintage last with a nipped arch, and the original sole geometry rather than a modern reinterpretation.
The upper is 100% cotton canvas, built around a curved-arch last typical of mid-century footwear and padded out with a 7mm cushioned insole. Comfortable on hard floors, and the canvas softens with wear. Made in Japan in measured runs.
Easier to live with than a leather shoe and more considered than most slip-ons on the market. Works with cuffed denim, military trousers, or as a warm-weather alternative to canvas hi-tops.
