What are the best shirt fabrics?

Shirts come in all sorts of fabrics; cotton, poplin, twill, flannel, linen, wool, nylon, moleskin, and more. There is no definitive answer as to what is the "best." Some fabrics are warmer, while others are lighter and breathe better, and so on.

It all comes down to personal needs, occasion, and styling.

How should a shirt fit?

There are a number of factors to consider here. For a formal occasion you might opt for a tailored style, with the shoulder seams of the shirt lining up with the edge of your shoulders. For a more casual look, you could wear the same shirt a size up and unbuttoned.

How to wash a shirt?

You can find a care label on all garments we sell at URAHARA. As a general rule of thumb, anything with animal fibres will be dry-clean only. Anything made from cotton, linen, or synthetic, is machine washable in cold water only and hang dry.
