The Lot.243 draws on early 20th-century American workwear, particularly the utilitarian denim worn during the 1930s and ’40s. With its high rise, straight-wide silhouette and buckle-back adjuster, this five-pocket cut reflects the functional design of waist-overalls from the era.

What We Think

This is one of the best wide-leg options we’ve come across in Japanese selvedge. Where most cuts lean slim or tapered, the Lot.243 offers serious room through the top block and leg, without sacrificing shape or drape. The 13.5oz denim is woven from Zimbabwe cotton on vintage shuttle looms, balancing subtle texture with a soft hand and clean finish.

The details are all functional: crotch rivets for strength, oversized back pockets, and a buckle-back that adjusts the fit. A standout for anyone after japanese denim in a true wide cut.
