What We Think

The Solovair Gibson is the original version of what most people now know as a Dr Martens. Solovair made the first pairs in the same Northamptonshire factory they still use today. Same shape, same attitude, worn by punks, skinheads, ska fans, Britpop kids, and just about every subculture that needed a solid pair of shoes that could take a beating.

These Gibson shoes look great with denim, especially when your jeans are cuffed to show off a clean selvedge ID. They also suit chinos or dress pants, making them a truly versatile shoe. The Hi Shine leather finish adds a smart edge, while the Soft Suspension sole makes them incredibly comfortable for those on their feet all day who need something tougher and more stylish than a sneaker.
