The name URAHARA translates to behind Harajuku. This is an area in Harajuku where a lot of brands flagship stores are located such as Neighborhood and Radiall. URAHARA and the brands stores located in the neighbourhood were a big inspiration when first starting the store.
URAHARA's first in-house brand is Godspeed. Godspeed is a Melbourne based response to Japanese quality clothing and style by creative director Martin Kirby and store owner of URAHARA.
URAHARA also offers a Denim Repair service using the Singer 47w70 darning machine. Darning is a unique type of mending that recreates the look and feel of denim fabric by weaving cotton thread back and forth across the tear or hole. This is the best process for repairing denim and is only possible using the Singer 47w70. We are proud to offer this service in Australia as there are only so few places using this exact machine and technique.
All Denim purchased at URAHARA receives free repairs for life and complimentary chain stitch hemming on our Union Special 43200g chain stitch machine.
