The Ancient Pottery collection by Chips Japan is an ode to ancient ceramic designs. Each style is handmade in Mino Province, Japan, using a strong clay compound called stoneware.

The rich, dark brass hue and textured surface evoke the timeless appeal of antique metal tableware, making it hard to believe this piece is actually ceramic. With each use, the colour subtly shifts, influenced by oils and acids, allowing the piece to develop a unique patina over time.
